Originally composed in mid-2019, ONE DAY MORE marks the second fully orchestrated work of Isaac Schein's career. At around 9 minutes long, this piece features both melancholy and dramatic harmonic progressions that captures the essence of the story while highlighting various instrument families.

Program Notes: 

Sorrow, for the loss of a crazy and beautiful love as it finally vanishes into ashes. The slow rise of the moon, as the sun sets on their final days. Everything fades to gray, and the steady beating of two hearts moving away from each other flows throughout the heavy air. Her hopefulness--that if she holds on long enough he will return to her. Because their love was something that wasn’t supposed to end. Hopeful songbirds fill the air, as she dances around her heartbreak without a care. Holding on to a love that is still meant to be--with a realization that they will never love again. A hopeful heart will not win against one that has already moved on. The pain sets in a little deeper, for she cannot continue to dance around this heartbreak. Holding on to a lifeline, hoping she’s wrong. Thoughts running through her mind that he will come back again one day, and everything will be okay. The light breaks as the dawn of a new day begins. She can breath again. With a soft heart, she lets him go, but holds on to the small hope of one day.
